Making England Safer

The U.S. is not alone in seeking to protect its citizens by spying on them.  The Tory government is proposing that it be allowed to monitor the calls, emails, texts and website visits of everyone in the UK. Of course, such monitoring would not be subject to a court's approval. But they would not be allowed to look at the content of these emails, etc.  Howsomever, the government would be allowed to identify who an individual or group is in contact with, how often and for how long. They would also be able to see which websites someone had visited. That's a small price to pay for protection.  Isn't it?
