At the so-called national Tea Party convention, one of Ms Palin's memorable lines was this, delivered in her perky twang: "How's that hopey changey thing workin' out for ya'?" She managed to speak for 40 minutes (with a little help from some crib notes.) I haven't heard the whole speech, but in the excerpts shown on the news she spoke about hope and ideals and change without mentioning a single specific.
Honestly, I don't think I've ever heard a politician with so little between the ears, and I'm astonished that there are so many people who perceive her as a leader. I can only hope that, with more exposure, Ms. Palin will expose herself as an empty shell and fade into obscurity.
