Daniel Levy, a Jew, and Amjad Atallah, a Palestinian, feel strongly that the U.S. must assume a leadership role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; that is the only way the actors can start moving to a future solution. For too long we have taken a back seat to Israel and let them run the show. We have to start to realize that we are very much at risk in this conflict and must take a leadership role, that could start with bringing Gaza back from the dead and really pushing Palestinian unity. They have a point.
