VOTE THIRD PARTY. At one time the Democratic Party was a third party; and at another time, the Republican Party was a third party.
If it weren’t for the zombie virus, we would have different parties now.
So, what am I saying here?
For years, maybe decades, I was aware of entertainment opportunities that featured zombies; and, I didn’t get it. Now I get it. It is an easy option in the menu of human behavior to consider everyone who is not in your own social circle as an “other kind of life form.” Don’t do that. We are the world, etc. My hippie dippy roots are strong.
So, really my big point is, our great nation is behaving badly, a lot. The USA is relatively great, really much better than many other countries; but, there is room for improvement. And the major political parties are making zero big moves. They all talk about things but upon reflection, we see no change in behavior. The “ hope and change thing” was more of the same. The “ make America great again thing” is ditto.
So, just do it. Vote for the third party candidates. That’s where there May be hope.
Oh, and one or the other of the major party supporters says, “ oh well the other party did XYZ or abc,” point out each of the major parties has had opportunity to create a kinder gentler society; but, they do not.
We want healthcare that has good outcomes and does not cause bankruptcy. We want education that enlightens and does not foist debt upon students. We want living wages at fundamental jobs.
We do not want eternal electioneering among professional politicians (aka lying, cheating, scoundrels of the first water).
I realize this is a stretch of our imagination. The mass media literally gets billions of dollars from the major parties to say anything EXCEPT you guys could vote for other parties. It will require us to think big, communicate effectively, and act for the greater good (not humanity’s strong suits).
