The numbers are disturbing but not as disturbing as what has been going on. I've had a great relationship with the city for decades and never seen anything like this. Not a case of people working with us but apparently against us. My feeling is that it does not cost that much in normal times to keep the website going when the next development threat comes. I'been donating my time since '83, not taking expenses since the assualt started and covering much of the site's costs. We can bring in some money form membership renewals in the early fall and hepefullly get some new blood on the board. The city is now doing internal planning for the installation of planted medians and a possible traffic circle along the Scenic Drive. The roadside includes a corner that we have had battles with a gas station owner in the past ..usually when something like this happens property ownners and developers get idea and there are very large parcels of state trust land. Why would a city employee or consultant get invoved. /
