The Media's reaction to Russian rules

Russia has passed a law threatening to jail anyone Russia deems to have spread false information on its armed forces. The BBC has suspended its services there because it has " a responsibility to audiences to report on the story in Ukraine, but also have a responsibility for staff's safety in the Moscow bureau."

And Russia’s last independent news outlet, TV Rain, has stopped broadcasting indefinitely after coming under pressure for its coverage of Ukraine.
