Poland has spent over $15,000,000 to build the largest elephant compound in Europe. The plan was to populate the compound primarily through breeding the first residents. Well, one member of the government, worried that one of the male elephants seems to prefer other male elephants, says, "We didn't pay 37 million zlotys (7.6 million pounds) for the largest elephant house in Europe to have a gay elephant live there."The elephant is only ten years old. He still has a few years to go before he is sexually mature.
