Lawyers can be expensive

Especially if the government is after you.  JPMorgan spent $8 billion on lawyers in the last quarter, that's almost $100,000,000 a day.  And they don't think the bill will be shrinking as they have reserved $23 billion for future legal expenses.

Compare that total of $43 billion against the budgets of Federal agencies and their lawyers who will be taking on JPMorgan Chase. We need to be enormously grateful that there are dedicated, competent lawyers in these Federal agencies (and some New York State agencies) ready and willing to do this job.
And let this be one strong rebuttal to those who delight in derogatory remarks about Federal employees
