Netanyahu did not do as well as expected in yesterday's elections in Israel. It looks as though each bloc had 60 of
parliament's 120 seats.His conservative alliance lost 11 seats in Parliament, going from 42 to 31.
The big winner is the party known as There is a Future. It campaigned on major economic changes, an end to the granting of draft exemptions to ultra-Orthodox Jewish men and the pursuit of peace with the
Palestinians. The party is only a year old and has changed the political structure in Israel. Let's hope this augurs for a more realistic, less militaristic Israel.
