Three cheers for Mark Inglis
He's the first person to climb Mount Everest on two artificial legs. He lost both legs in 1982 when mountain climbing. Very few of us can climb the local hill with two good legs. Talk about persistence!
I echo that! What an incredible feat. As one hoping to huff and puff his way up a couple of mere 3,000 foot Welsh peaks in a few weeks time - with two working, if not exactly fit, legs - I stand humbled before this Kiwian leviathon.
A Hero would never have left David Sharpe to die. They had plenty of resources to have brought David's body (dead or alive) down instead of pushing for the summit. All involved should be ashamed at personally refusing to help David. There is a time when a Hero knows to break with the team.

Too bad he and his party left a fellow climber to die on the mountain during their ascent.

i agree, the day someone puts a mans life behind there own ambition is just evil.
He could have come back to climb Everest again another day, but because he passed David Sharp, Davd wont be dont anything ever again.
