Mumbai, India has nearly 1,000 pharmaceutical, food and engineering factories. They dump a lot of waste (up to 13 times the safe limit) into the Kasadi River. Strays often wade into the river for food, therefore the
waste may be dyeing their fur a bright shade of blue.
