We, the people, have more guns than anybody else in the world. We own 270,000,000 guns; that's almost one per person. Which country is second in terms of guns per capita? Did you guess Yemen? Next come Finland and Switzerland (this surprised me.)

Ah, but Switzerland's militia army is composed of every able-bodied male, issued with a rifle for defense of the homeland in case of invasion. They keep them in their home. Americans have just taken it upon themselves to follow the letter of the Constitution and arm themselves to the teeth, even though they have the biggest and most well-equipped military on the planet. I'm not sure what the Finns are up to.
I don't think most Americans own guns. The ones that do (gun fanatics and hoods)own lots of them.
