Lentils and Pasta Make Great Bombs

That is probably the idea behind Israel's refusing to allow lentils and pasta into Gaza. They know something we don't know as to the hidden talents of Hamas bombmakers. Two U.S. Congressmen, supporters of Israel, visited Gaza last week and were amazed at the devastation, particularly that caused by weapons that were made in America.

The question that springs to mind while reading this, is: where have these people been living? Cloud Cuckoo Land? They're US politicians, for God's sake. Don't they know that George W Bush signed a ten year, $30 billion, contract with Israel to supply these weapons? Why the surprise at the damage? Did they think Israel was going to melt these US weapons down and forge plowshares for the Palestinians?
These people make me sick. They fail to do their jobs; they collect a salary for representing the US people, and they've no clue what's going on in their own government. They're no better than the CEO's who ran their financial businesses into the ground, along with taxpayer's money.
Are we supposed to now laud the efforts of these politicians? Who's paying for this trip to Gaza to "see for themselves"? The US taxpayer? They could have just tuned into the BBC and saved us all a lot of money.

The bombing had not only killed people, but also "an institution that taught core American values like tolerance," Baird said.

That one sentence adequately reveals what totally moronic hypocrites these people are.
