It ain't over

The NY Times reports that in July the

re were 2,400,000 job openings and 14,500,000 unemployed in this country. That's a 6-1 ratio. When this year started, the ratio was 4-1. In the 2001 recession, it was 2-1. Yes, unemployment lags the recovery, but these numbers say that we have a long way to go before the recovery is in full swing.
