Will the CFPA become reality?

Elizabeth Warren has been pushing for the establishment of a Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) since 2007. As chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel which has been looking into the causes of the Great Recession, she has seen the damage that has been caused by our financial system. In her latest article she argues for both banks and non-banks being subject to the purview of the CFPA. She makes a strong case.
