Homeland Security is always working for us. They are now testing a system that can 'sense' that a person is about to commit a crime. That system is known as Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST). In some ways FAST is similar to a lie detector. It differs in that the system need not make any contact with the suspect; it can read his mind. So, if you get nervous when traveling (e.g., I 'm late for my plane), you had better be leery of FAST, as it may indicate that you are contemplating blowing up the airport in the next ten minutes.
We are moving closer and closer to a world that we believe we can fully control if only there were less freedom.
