The water keeps coming into the basements of the damaged reactor buildings and becoming
contaminated. Despite being able to pump the water out, the inflow cannot be stopped as they don't know where the leaks are coming from nor how to stop them. As a result, radioactive cesium, tritium and strontium are leaking into the ocean; they raise the risks of cancer in humans.
