Testing?

I spent my career in the computer software business. Many of those years were focused in the area of software testing. So you can imagine my reaction when I learned that PIERS, Passport Information Electronic Records System, which maintains the records on passports of more than 127,000,000 Americans, can't detect or prevent unauthorized access. And it's been running since 1999!!

Where in the Lord's name was the chief DP honcho all these years? Where were the auditors? In a sample test of 150 celebrities, the Inspector General found that the records of 85% of these people had been accessed an average of 33 times each.
