Michelle Bachmann has decided to "stand aside". The fact that she got this far is testament to our deficiencies as a nation. It looks like Perry will be next, assuming Huntsman does okay in New Hampshire. If Huntsman does poorly, both he and Perry will stand aside.
It looks as though the primary election period will be relatively brief. It could be over by the end of this month. Then what will the media have to write about? Romney's choice as VP would be my guess; they could destroy a vast amount of timber speculating on his choice.
I can't see Santorum doing well in New Hampshire. It would really surprise me if he did; he just seems quite dumb. How he, Cain and Bachmann were able to raise any money remains a mystery to me.
Once more, we'll face the problem of choosing the lesser of two evils. And some say we are not in decline!
