This is a real tan

The lady on the left is the same person as the lady on the right.  Do you find that hard to believe?  The photo on the left was taken on April 24, that on the right six days later.  What happened?  Was the lady made up for a role in a play?  No, she had simply visited the tanning booth.  

The April 24 photo was taken when she was booked for injuring her six-year-old daughter.  The injury was burns.  The daughter's teacher noticed the burns and eventually the police were notified and arrested the mother.  The mother claims that the burns were caused simply by the sun and not by being in the tanning booth with her.
