It will take time...

lots of time for nuclear power to realize the promises many have for it. That's the argument Charles Ferguson and Michelle Smith make in the current Foreign Policy. To maintain the current share of electric production (15%) a nuclear power plant with a 1,000 megawatt reactor would have to be built every 16 days for the next 21 years. To reduce 14% of the estimated greenhouse gas emissions in 2050 would require a 1,000 megawatt reactor coming online every 14 days for the next 41 years.

It seems like we have a problem.
