For quite a while Iraq Today has been keeping a daily log of death and destruction in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Here's a summary of today's log for Iraq:
- Baghdad: A rocket attack was launched on the Green Zone. 8 were injured by a car bomb.
- Amarra: Our planes bombed a suspicious pick-up truck.
- Tikrit: A suicide bomber killed 10 and wounded 30. A roadside bomb killed and wounded dozens of people.
- Irbil Prv: Iran is involved against the PJAK rebel group; two Iranians and 21 rebels were killed.
- Kirkuk: A sticky bomb wounded a policeman.
- Mosul: Two Iraqi soldiers were killed by unknown gunmen. An insurgent was killed and a soldier wounded during a raid by the Iraqi army.
- Anbar Province: A car bomb killed four.
All quiet on the Western front.
